Kathleen Troust graduated from Marymount University with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2003 after an 8-year career as a fitness, Pilates, and group exercise instructor. She is an Expert level John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release therapist, treating acute and complex orthopedic pain issues including pelvic pain/dysfunction for women and men.
Her extensive experience in fitness, Pilates, yoga, meditation and corrective exercise brings variety to her treatment approach. She structures patient programs according to their individual needs and encourages exploration of complimentary approaches to healing when appropriate. She will work with patients to increase independence in self-care.
Kathleen has her BS in Health Science from James Madison University and is also a graduate of Landmark Education Curriculum for Living and The Inner Journey Institute Transformational Facilitators Training. She is a current member of The American Physical Therapy Association. In addition to treating patients, she is a business leader in a nutrigenomics company and provides both health education and leadership development training to health consumers and fellow entrepreneurs.
Kathleen is a home-birth mom and has a passion for her family, fitness, personal/spiritual development, and empowering others.
Kathleen has been practicing the John F. Barnes’ Approach to Myofascial Release since 2006. She sees clients at TAVO Total Health on Tuesdays.
